Matthew Good started his cross-Canada tour last night in Victoria. Recently, Matthew went into the Bathouse studio to record new versions of a few songs from the hit album Beautiful Midnight, and released them on an EP called I Miss New Wave. I am loving the new versions of “Suburbia,” “I Miss New Wave,” “Load Me Up,” “Let’s Get It On” and “Born to Kill.” Incredible lighting and sound was in store for the Sold Out Alix Goolden Hall crowd. Matt asked if the fans, if they were allowed to stand in the former Church Sanctuary, know more for the Victoria Conservatory of Music than a raucous rock show. All in all, it was a great evening, Matt Sounded amazing and it was a great kick off to the new tour.
