Westward Music Festival is thrilled to announce the first round of programming for the 2018 edition. Now in its second year, the annual Vancouver based festival will take place across multiple venues in the heart of the downtown core from September 13-16. This year’s lineup features British singer, songwriter, composer, producer and author Blood Orange, two-time Grammy nominee Kali Uchis, critically acclaimed rhythmic pop star Kelela and YouTube sensation Poppy.
“The MRG Concerts team and myself are very much looking forward to the 2018 edition of Westward. Due to the incredible support from Vancouver over the past year, we have been able to grow the festival to include more shows and venues, all while keeping with our mission to provide the city’s music fans the memorable experiences they are looking for,” says Matt Gibbons, President / Founder of MRG Music Group.
Additional acts include alt-indie artist Angel Olsen, R&B downtempo soul act RHYE, electronic duo HONNE, Canadian Sub-Pop punk band METZ, Seattle grunge mainstays Mudhoney, Vancouver alt favourites Odds and Indigenous synth-rock band Nehiyawak.
